Therapy is a journey of self-discovery. Life can be challenging, and sometimes, emotions or situations feel too big to navigate alone. You might feel anxious or down without knowing why, questioning a relationship, or struggling to align your life with your true self.
No matter where you are in your journey, I’m here to support you. Together, we’ll explore your emotions, develop effective coping strategies, and create meaningful change. My approach fosters a positive outlook and encourages new perspectives and responses to life’s challenges. You will always be met with respect, empathy, and a safe space to heal and grow. Therapy is an act of courage, and I am here to walk beside you every step of the way.

With over a decade of experience, I have worked in private practice on issues related to anxiety, depression, various areas of trauma, and chronic illness. I work from a person-centered model, tailoring to meet each patient's unique needs, ensuring effective support and guidance.
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology degree from Stockton University, a Master of Science in Family, Youth, and Children Community Mental Health Counseling, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology. I am licensed in New Hampshire and Massachusetts and a member of the American Psychological Association.
“Probably the biggest insight… is that happiness is not just a place, but also a process. Happiness is an ongoing process of fresh challenges, and it takes the right attitudes and activities to continue to be happy.” –Ed Diener
Please reach me at katie.r.mccann@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
I am an out-of-network provider. My fee is $225 for the initial diagnostic session and $200 for each session thereafter. I will submit claims on your behalf, and you will be reimbursed directly by your insurance company according to your out-of-network benefits. Please contact your insurance provider to confirm your out-of-network coverage and reimbursement details.
A typical counseling session lasts 60 minutes, although some sessions may vary depending on your needs and preferences.
I do not prescribe medication. If you need medication, you would be referred to a psychiatric provider such as a Psychiatrist or APRN.
I accept payment via cash, check, or credit card.
Your first session is an opportunity for us to determine if we are the right fit to work together. I’ll ask questions to gain a deeper understanding of your needs, concerns, and goals. From there, we’ll discuss a treatment plan and schedule your next session. If I feel that another professional may better suit your needs, I’ll provide a referral to ensure you receive the best possible support.
Tell me a little about what you are looking for so I can better suit your needs!
